Maryland Hall's most popular exhibit returns with many new and exciting changes. Artists will paint in new areas around Annapolis and have more art to exhibit and sell. The 12th annual Paint Annapolis outdoor painting competition will feature nearly 100 artists painting for three days. The resulting paintings will be exhibited at Maryland Hall in several exhibitions from Sunday, June 30 through July 14

Paint Annapolis 2013 is a juried competition, now in its 12th year, established by the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA). The Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (MHCA) will host this year's Paint Annapolis outdoor painting competition.

Prizes for work produced by the events 31 juried artists will be announced at a 6 pm ticketed reception on Saturday, June 29 at Maryland Hall. The exhibit will open to the public on June 30.

Plein air artists of all skill levels are invited to participate in Dueling Brushes, a quick draw event where artists paint within a short time frame. Dueling Brushes will take place on Saturday, June 29 from 9 am to noon. Judging of these works will begin at noon at Susan Campbell Park near the City Dock.
